Cosmetic & Functional Gynaecology

Cosmetic and functional gynaecology addresses both the aesthetic and physiological concerns — restoring form, function, and confidence. It encompasses surgical and non-surgical management of laxity, vulval appearance, post-partum changes, urinary symptoms, and menopausal atrophy.

At REEF, the emphasis is always functional first, aesthetic second, with individualised, evidence-based care delivered in a private, judgement-free setting.

Vaginal Laxity & Rejuvenation

Vaginal laxity commonly follows childbirth or the natural decline in oestrogen and collagen with age, and may affect sensation, comfort, and quality of life. Treatment is tailored to severity — ranging from pelvic floor rehabilitation to energy-based (laser or radiofrequency) tightening, or surgical vaginoplasty where indicated — to restore tone and structural support.

Labiaplasty & Aesthetic Procedures

Labiaplasty addresses enlargement or asymmetry of the labia minora that causes physical discomfort during activity, hygiene difficulty, or aesthetic concern. Performed under local or short general anaesthesia as a day-care procedure, it offers durable results with minimal downtime, undertaken with careful attention to preserving sensation and natural appearance.

Post-Delivery Restoration

Vaginal birth may result in perineal laxity, scarring, or pelvic floor weakening. Restorative care combines pelvic floor strengthening, scar revision, and — where appropriate — perineoplasty or energy-based therapy to restore anatomy, comfort, and confidence in the post-partum period.

Menopause-Related Changes (Dryness & Atrophy)

Falling oestrogen after menopause causes genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) — vaginal dryness, atrophy, irritation, and painful intercourse. Management includes topical oestrogen, vaginal moisturisers, and non-hormonal energy-based therapies that stimulate collagen and restore mucosal health, significantly improving comfort and intimacy.

Urinary Leak & Intimate Wellness

Stress urinary incontinence — leakage on coughing, laughing, or exertion — is common after childbirth and menopause, yet highly treatable. Options range from pelvic floor physiotherapy and radiofrequency therapy to minimally invasive surgical correction, restoring bladder control and intimate wellbeing.

Non-Surgical Options (Laser / RF / PRP)

For women preferring to avoid surgery, energy- and biologically-based therapies offer effective alternatives. Laser and radiofrequency stimulate collagen remodelling to improve laxity, dryness, and mild incontinence, while platelet-rich plasma (PRP) promotes tissue regeneration and sensation. These office-based procedures require minimal downtime and are performed in a discreet, comfortable environment.
