Embryo Freezing
What is embryo freezing?
After IVF, healthy embryos that aren’t transferred immediately can be frozen (vitrified) and safely stored for future use. They’re later thawed and transferred in a frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle — giving you more chances of pregnancy from a single IVF cycle.
When should it be considered?
It’s useful when there are good-quality embryos left over after a fresh transfer, when the body needs time to recover before transfer, during fertility preservation, or when planning future pregnancies without repeating the full IVF process.

FAQs
Do frozen embryos work as well as fresh ones?
Yes – frozen embryo transfers now match, and sometimes exceed, fresh-cycle success rates, while letting your body recover first.
How long can embryos stay frozen?
Embryos can be safely stored for many years without losing quality, ready for whenever you choose to grow your family.
