What is sperm freezing?

Sperm freezing preserves a healthy sperm sample for future use. The sample is collected, frozen (cryopreserved), and safely stored — then thawed for IUI, IVF, or ICSI whenever needed, with no loss of quality over time.

When should it be considered?

It’s recommended before medical treatments like chemotherapy or radiation that can affect fertility, before a vasectomy, for men with declining or low sperm counts, or simply to have a backup sample ready ahead of fertility treatment.

FAQs

Does freezing affect sperm quality?

No – frozen sperm works just as well as fresh for IUI, IVF, and ICSI, even after many years of storage.

Is the process complicated?

Not at all. It’s quick, simple, and non-invasive – a sample is provided, tested, and frozen, usually in a single visit.
